Prior to his mega trade to Green Bay, Micah Parsons sat on the sidelines during season training camp largely due to contractual disputes with Cowboys owner Jerry Jones. However, there were reports that Micah had a back injury he was nursing and contributed to him not participating in training.
Going into week one of the regular seasons with the Packers against the Lions, Micah played a fraction of the game with only 30 snaps to his name, whiles dealing with his aforementioned back injury. Thursday night game, Micah is listed on the Packers chart as “Questionable” against the Washington Commanders, arguably one of the best teams in the NFC East.
Will Micah Play? Yes.
The Washington Commanders have a great offensive team with Jayden Daniels at the center of the action, if the Packers want to increase the changes of winning, the pass rushing ability of Parsons will need to be unleashed. Even in limited snaps against the Detroits Lions, Micah Parsons played a significant role on defense forcing Jared Goff into throwing an interception and recording a single sack on the Lions QB.
We expect Parsons to play against the Commanders and to receive more snaps than he did in the game against the lions. It is up to the Commanders offense to keep Parsons and the rest of the Packers defense at bay – pun intended of coarse. Game kicks off at 12:15 AM GMT time and 8:15 PM ET.
