Speedy wide receiver for the Chiefs, Xavier Worthy hurt after colliding with teammate Travis Kelce in the second snap of the game against the Chargers in Sao Paulo Brazil.
Moments after the being targeted by Patrick Mahomes for a short run, Xavier collided with Travis Kelce on the very next play whiles QB targeted Kelce landing heavily on his shoulder. Worthy was slow to stand up and seen being escorted off the pitch with a towel over his head clearly in pain.
Reports indicate Worthy was given a scan and is not expected to return to the game. In the absence of Rashee Rice who is serving a six-game suspension, Xavier Worthy was expected to fill Rice’s position until his return. This injury leaves the Kansas City Chiefs in a compromising position at the start of week one.
